Rainy 4th…

Not much we can do about the rain showers out there this evening, but on the positive side we do not expect much thunder and lightning and the severe weather threat is close to zero. There will be a sharp dividing line between where it absolutely pours and scattered showers…basically points south of a line from Indianapolis to Cincinnati to about Morehead, Kentucky receive a washout into Sunday morning with up to two inches of rain possible…whereas points north of that line get only scattered showers with only some light rain by the time you hit Dayton or Columbus. It will improve for Sunday, after a few morning showers skies should dry up with some afternoon sunshine – and then it’s smooth sailing for several days. Monday and Tuesday look like absolutely perfect summertime days, and then the heat and humidity builds for Thursday and Friday with 90s possible. Our long-range forecast information is suggesting a cold front for the second half of Friday, and that could mean some strong storms for the area…we’ll keep our eyes on it. Stay tuned!
